Every massage is unique.
Each appointment will begin and end with a discussion to determine what could be the best way for me to support the guest.
For me, anatomy, body work, awareness through movement... belong to a field of knowledge that are lifelong processes of learning. My application of this knowledge remains flexible in order to address different needs and ways of supporting my guests. I therefore offer different variations of classic massages.
Deeply informed by the Feldenkrais method and by my experience as a dancer, stretches,movements exercises... can also be proposed at the end of the sessions.
I have experienced first hand in my dance education and career the pressure to conform and control the body. These experiences have not always been positive or inclusive spaces or philosophies. I seek in my practice to facilitate people connecting to the bodies they inhabit and to give treatment in a space that fosters body positivity and is safe for all bodies regardless of race, form and gender.
I offer different type of massages :
Deep tissue : Shea butter based deep tissue massage uses fascia release techniques, trigger point techniques and joint mobilisations. Working at a slow pace and with quite some pressure, I invite you to breathe deeply, be in contact with yourself and your limits, communicate any time for less or more pressure.
Classic Massage : Bio almond oil based massage. Using Swedish massage techniques such as variations of petrissage, gentle muscles pulls and squeezes, activating the blood circulation flow, helping against water retention… Supporting you in taking a break from daily stress, this type of massage is designed to help you let go and might bring you in a very deep state of relaxation.
Back Intensive : Giving yourself a focused time for your neck, shoulders, arms, upper and lower back! Ideal for people working in front of computers, sitting too long, sedentary, this massage also suits athletes and physical jobs.
Pregnancy Massage : Gentle Pregnancy Massage is designed for pregnant women to improve body awareness, relieve pain through mobilization and experience a deep relaxation. Note: Pregnant women massage have to be gentle. I will not use acupressure or deep tissue techniques. It is also recommended to book a massage after the 3d month of pregnancy.
